| Discontinuing
Operation of the Occupational Therapy
Department, July 4, 2010 |
To Current, Former, and Future Patients
of Progressive Physical Therapy;
On July 2nd 2010 Progressive Physical Therapy discontinued operation
of its occupational therapy department. Shauna Fiorentino, Certified
Hand Therapist and Occupational Therapist, will continue to offer the
same services at her new facility, The Hand Institute, located 217
Glenn Street. The staff of Progressive PT wish Shauna well in
her new endeavor and plan to use the current occupational therapy space
to develop a Spine Center for the care of individuals with spinal conditions
such as strain and sprain, disc injury, post-surgery, and osteoporosis
to name a few.
If you are a former patient of Progressive Physical Therapy and wish
to have your records sent to The Hand Institute, contact Progressive
Physical Therapy to obtain the required medical records release.
The Spine Center at Progressive Physical Therapy will begin operations
on August 2nd 2010. Although, Progressive Physical Therapy currently
offers care to patients suffering from spinal or back injury, our new
Spine Center will be a comprehensive approach to back care offering
treatment from injury to return to function for diagnoses such as spinal
sprain and strain, disc injury, arthritic conditions, osteoporosis
and scoliosis. The goal of our new Spine Center is to alleviate
pain and provide patients with the tools and information necessary
to take control of their back problems. The Spine Specialists
at Progressive will integrate knowledge and hands-on techniques, postural
and ergonomic analysis and individualized therapeutic exercise programs
to reestablish normalcy in the patient's life and teach movements to
minimize risk of re-injury".
Progressive Physical Therapy and The Hand Institute thank you for
entrusting your care to us.
