Kierstin Stevenson, DPT Has Joined The Staff at Progressive

Kierstin graduated from Shenandoah University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in August 2014. She joins Progressive Physical Therapy following internships at the US Air Force Academy and Health South Rehabilitation Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. During these internships she worked with individuals suffering from a variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries as well as, balance and neurological disorders including stroke, MS, TBIs, and Parkinson’s disease. Her special interests include balance and fall prevention, promoting overall health and wellness in the community, aquatic rehabilitation, exercise prescription, rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, and improving the quality of life for individuals with a variety of neurological disorders.

She is also a 2011 graduate of Frostburg State University with a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training. She is a member of the APTA and the aquatic physical therapy section. At graduation from Shenandoah, she was awarded for her research on chronic ankle instability and was nominated for the K. Madison Smith award for outstanding physical therapy practice throughout her clinical rotations
