Christopher T. Whiteman, MPT
Chris joined Progressive Physical Therapy following graduation from Allegany College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program in 1996. Chris returned to West Virginia University’s school of Physical Therapy in June of 2002, received his master’s degree in Physical Therapy in June of 2005 and returned to full-time clinical practice in July 2005 at the Cumberland facility.
Following his second year at the University, Chris received the Capstone award for outstanding clinical research. His special interests include rehabilitation of the shoulder, knee, foot/ankle, including biomechanical foot abnormalities and orthotics prescription, as well as the cervical spine, post-surgical rehabilitation and sports related injuries. He also has a special interest in facial nerve paralysis and TMJ dysfunction.
Chris is a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. He serves as a clinical instructor for West Virginia University and the University of Maryland. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Orthopedics section of the APTA.
