
George Walker, PTA

George has been a licensed physical therapist assistant since 1998 after graduating from Allegany college. He began his career at Memorial Hospital in September of that year, gaining valuable clinical experience over the next 3 years.
In 2001, George joined Progressive Physical Therapy where he continued to build his outpatient skill set until 2007. He then transitioned into working with patients in various nursing home settings throughout the region, further expanding his experience in geriatric care and functional rehabilitation.
In 2012 George earned his bachelor's degree and returned to outpatient therapy at Summit Physical Therapy. In 2019, he began working with youth at Potomac Therapy where he focused on helping younger patients build strength, mobility, and confidence.
In May 2024, George returned to Progressive, bringing with him more than 25 years of diverse clinical experience. George particularly enjoys treating orthopedic conditions, balance disorders, and patients with generalized weakness. He is known for his steady, patient centered approach and his commitment to helping individuals regain independence, improve function, and return to the activities they enjoy most.
