Amy Adams, MPT
A graduate of Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. Amy received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. She joined Progressive Physical Therapy as a staff therapist following graduation in May 1997 and served as Director of Aquatic Therapy from 2002-2015. She received her certification in women’s health through Texas Women’s University Physical Therapy Department in August 2002 and in August 2011, Amy received her certification as an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist (OMPT) through Swodeam Consulting. Amy is certified in performing Functional Dry Needling and has been providing this service to the area since 2013.
Her special interests include back injuries and rehabilitation and women’s health issues such as pre and post natal musculoskeletal problems and exercise prescription, fibromyalgia, and osteoporosis. She is an active member of the APTA, as well as the Orthopedic Section of the APTA.
